The City provides medical insurance to full time employees at no cost to the employee.  Dependent coverage is also available; the City pays a large portion of this coverage.

Full time employees are eligible for group health and dental insurance, BlueCross and BlueShield of Alabama (BCBS), through the State Employees Insurance Board (SEIB).

Vision

Vision benefits are offered through the Discount Vision Care Network and Laser Vision Correction Network through the State Employees Insurance Board (SEIB).  This network is not a Blue Cross Blue Shield service.
