Debbie Carothers, Southeast Regional Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce was  the keynote speaker at a special membership luncheon, May 21st  at the Enterprise Country Club. 

     Ms Carrothers spoke to the general membership of the chamber about many issues that affect business and reported on national legislation that is of particular interest for business and industry.  Among the issues discussed was the so called “Card Check” bill and, if passed,  its potential for catastrophic consequences in employee/employer relations.

     The event also featured the official presentation of accreditation honors to the Enterprise Chamber.  Recently, the U.S. Chamber honored the Enterprise Chamber as one of only 18 chambers nationwide to achieve some level of accreditation.  The prestigious honor places Enterprise among the top 4% of chambers nationwide who are accredited.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the only source for chamber accreditation.
